Vent is an installation of nine vertical columns constructed from cold-laminated recycled float glass. The title plays on the idea of a vent as both an architectural opening and an expression of frustration or anger.

The clustered glass forms suggest vents or emissions rising from the ground — a quiet reference to an increasingly unsettled natural environment. Their translucent surfaces respond continuously to changing light, shifting between solidity and transparency as the viewer moves around the work.

Created for Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2026, the work brings the formal, architectural qualities of the columns into contrast with the open coastal landscape.
